In order to make sure that my product was successful I have approached this publishing Company as they do not already publish magazines from within the R&B genre. By using a company that does not speciaIise in the genre I have chosen I have essentially prevented myself from having any competition with other RnB publishers making my RnB magazine more profitable.
The benificial aspect for both the Publishing Company and my media corporation would be the fact that by distributing my product both companies would be grossing a higher profit due to the fact that the I would have to pay the Publishing Company to publish this product. Therefore with the introduction of my company of the magazine I created the Publishing Company would receive a wider variety of cliental as there is a new genre of music to promote in my magazine this would then inhance the companies portfolio. I personally would not like to distribute my magazine in social locations such as Bars or Pubs because these are social locations in which a product such as mine would not be successful as they are places that appeal older adults that are not in my target audience's age range.
When reflecting on my own customary needs I feel that it would be more convenient for my target audience if my music magazine was distributed in convenience stores such as WhSmith. I have decided to market this magazine in locations that are frequently visited for example shops in and around the City, newsagent, at corner shops, in the train station. I would like to distribute my product in the places that would be more convenient for my target audience as they are the ones that will be purchasing this product. These are the places that have a variety of cliental will use: whether their in a rush or just eager to have something interesting to read. My music magazine product would also appeal to teenagers and young adults that are commuting in metropolitan areas) during to their everyday travels. In retailers like WhSmith's which could provide me with a wider range of potential buyers, enabling the publishing company to be more financially benefited.
I believe that by distributing the magazine in the places that young people regularly go to would make my product well known as teenagers that chose to attend youth clubs and nightclubs could be interested in reading this magazine and then decide to pass it on or by telling their friends (word of mouth), when they do this it will create more popularity for my music magazine.
I would like the IPC Media Publishing Company to distribute my magazine as they do not focus on one genre any publish a variety more than 60 different media brands. By using the IPC Publishing House's Company to distribute my product I was able to distribute my product to a wider range of consumers which could access my product through the use of the internet for example on the IPC's website consumers are able to purchase my magazine through subscription. In researching about the IPC Publishing Company I was able to have a demonstration of how successful they have been in the past and which are the gender are majority of consumers from. Due to the amount of visitors on their website average on around 14 million visitors a month and in total more than 26 million adults visitor.
